Artists will be accommodated on a first come first serve basis.
The festival is open to all mediums of art: paintings, pottery, wood sculpture, stone sculpture, glass blowing, batiks, jewellery and an array of unique one of a kind artworks.
Artists who would like to participate must be available to display both weekends. This outdoor exhibit welcomes thousands of patrons, and over 100 artists participate every year. The festival begins each day at 10:00 am and runs until 6:00pm. Artists are responsible to provide tables, chairs, stands, etc. in which to display their works; allotted spaces are very generous in size. Unfortunately no tents are allowed.
Artists interested in registering will need to provide a biography as well as a few photos of the art to be displayed. (all photos will be returned). Photos may be sent via email at: mindandmatterart@aol.com or by snail mail to: 13743 16th Ave. Surrey, BC V4A 1P7.
For a list of requirements and registration fees, or to set up an appointment to register in person, contact Mary at 604-536-6460.
The festival takes place throughout the three acre estate of beautiful gardens at the Mind and Matter Gallery. The festival was created by Arnold and Mary Mikelson over a quarter of a century ago.
The intention of the Mind and Matter Gallery was to give artists a chance to expose their art to the public, as well as, giving artists an opportunity to sell their exceptional creations. The artists are encouraged to demonstrate and discuss their techniques with the public.
Thank you for your interest.
