Millie Meerheimb
Mille
was born in Europe and emigrated to Canada as a teenager. She spent most of her
life in farming and purebred cattle breeding; and eventually she opened her own
business as a livestock and horse photographer. After retirement she moved to
Kelowna and took up watercolor painting as a hobby. Millie prefers to work on
her own, utilizing the spontaneity of watercolor. Her favorite subjects are
landscapes, especially mood paintings and animals. Millie is an active status
member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.
She has had several one-woman shows in various locations in British Columbia and
Alberta. She accepts commissions for horse and cattle portraits. Mille donates
her artwork to the Mozart Festival each year. Her work can be found in both
public and private collections in Canada, the United States and Europe. She
maintains a studio in her home in Kelowna.
